Cheat Day

Cheat Day

To really have a good diet you must have a cheat day. Give everything you have to your diet. Work out, eat healthy and make smart health conscious decisions. I have a cheat day once a week but I have a rule. I think that rule has helped me maintain good diet and not an angry Lisa for not eating what I want.

You can cheat but you can’t have an affair! Don’t bring it home, don’t think about it just do it, don’t introduce it to your friends and treat your diet very well the next day.

  1. Don’t bring it home – The minute you bring it home you’re going to have it again and again until it’s all done.
  2. Don’t think about it just do it – Sometimes you feel so bad on your cheat day that you forget to enjoy it. If you work hard on your diet you earn one day. When you don’t have cheat days you bench and all your hard work is out the door. You have no way of picking yourself back up. When you plan a cheat day you know what you’re going to have you know the calories that are in it. You’re prepared to work hard the next day to make up for it you can do it.
  3. Don’t introduce it to your friends – whether it’s a new donut shop or this great crape place. The minute you show it to one of your friends they’re always going to ask “when are you going to bring more” “when are we going to go there again” don’t do that to yourself. You’ll also have friends bring them to you because they know you like it. Let’s just say that won’t happen on your cheat day.
  4. Treat your diet very well the next day – I think this one is very self-explanatory because we all know what we do on cheat days.

P.S. Yesterday I broke my rule by bringing it home. Today I overcompensated for it.

“You’ve gotta dance like there’s nobody watching, Love like you’ll never be hurt, Sing like there’s nobody listening, And live like it’s heaven on earth.” -William W. Purkey
